Advice
I have to say that before the baby arrived, I was completely and utterly clueless about what to do. Honestly, I was pretty terrified. Fortunately, my wife read lots and lots of books on the subject during her pregnancy, so as a family we weren’t completely screwed.
Now that I’m an old pro (HA!), I figured I could share some of the things I’ve learned – the things that stand out to me for various reason as being better than others. Some lessons are clearly more difficult than others, but they’re all lessons just the same. With any luck, somebody may benefit from my ramblings.
Note, however, that EVERYBODY has an opinion about THE right way to do something. Even people who don’t have kids! There’s no one way to do just about anything. So take my ramblings with a grain of salt and remember that every kid is different and what works for one won’t necessarily work for another. My ramblings are just things that either I watched somebody else do, somebody told me about or things I figured out on my own through much trial and error, which ended up working really well for me/us.
